            I would like to extend my sincere thank-you for the excellent job by East Central 911 handling the County of Minburn fire calls on Saturday, Sept. 26th, 2009.  I was pleased that the East Central 911 dispatcher continued to request an answer from Innisfree Fire Department regarding dispatching Mannville Fire to the two Ranfurly fires.  If my memory serves me, she requested an answer on three occasions.  It is refreshing to work with someone with the situational awareness required to do our jobs effectively.   

Please pass my thanks on to the dispatchers working during these fire calls.

Further to my note yesterday, I wanted to send a separate note to you and your dispatch centre to thank you for being so conscientious in submitting your daily EMS Pandemic Surveillance reports.  Seldom, if ever did we have to remind your centre to send in their report.  On a daily basis, we could count on the fact your report would be there.  Please pass our thanks to those responsible.

As a fire chief and director of disaster services, the need to be surrounded with competent and capable people is paramount. The professionalism, the willingness to adapt and the significant amount of customization they provide to the Wainwright Fire and Rescue Department is exceptional.
